Kick-starting Intelligence in Berlin

During the Teradata Enterprise Intelligence Summit in Istanbul last year, we introduced our community relations programme, Teradata Cares, for the first time in Europe. And, of course, we shall continue it during this year’s conference in Berlin. The general idea is that we want to give something back to those larger communities that we live and work in. In Istanbul, we gave books to children from a local school to help encourage and to enthuse them for education. Raising intelligence – a crucial capability not only in the corporate world.

In a diverse place like Berlin, there is no shortage of projects that would be worthy of a bit of support. We decided in favour of the non-profit organization Fusionstreet that supports children from non-academic families to enhance their future opportunities. Its “Manege“ centre gives kids from different social and cultural backgrounds some extra coaching as well as a place to meet, play and get insights into their respective ways of life. Thus we at Teradata are beating the drum for the project.

Thus we at Teradata are beating the drum for the project.

Fusion activists can tell you that there is an international, time-tested team-building exercise that helps unlock unexpected potentials in many participants – football. Which is where you may come in: in the conference centre, we will put up a goal-practice wall. Just a few weeks before the start of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, you will have the opportunity to score a few goals in the city where last time’s final took place. By doing so, you will earn money for the project. So what else can I say? Just don’t miss it.
