Knowledge work and micro-processes

Generally speaking, I like the FASTForward blog. Some smart people, writing some interesting things. But this post is so wrongheaded, it’s terrifying. Taylorism?! Good grief. Real industrial processes abandoned Tayloristic approaches as failures over 20 years ago, and there are some very good templates out there for how to apply what succeeded them to knowledge work.

The real danger I see this as being illustrative of is how easy it is to bend good things to serve evil masters. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
