I stumbled across a unique December headline while cruising though the USA Today Technology section, Australia OKs Facebook for serving lien notice. According to the article, an Australian court ruled that the use of Facebook was a viable means to notify a couple that they had lost their home due to defaulting on a loan. In this case, attempts had already been made to contact the couple in person and via email.
