An ADAPA instance is basically a virtual machine inside the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). It is actually more than a virtual machine, since it comes with the ADAPA Predictive Analytics Edition fully installed and ready to be used.
You can access ADAPA instances by using the ADAPA Console (through your web-browser) or through web-services. See figure below.
Also, we have created the ADAPA Control Center which allows you to launch and terminate new ADAPA instances at any time (from a single place). So, basically, you can create a new virtual machine by launching a new instance whenever you need more processing power. Whenever you don’t, you can terminate the instance.
ADAPA instances are of three different types: small, large, and extra-large. These are just different configurations which offer different processing power.
Each instance runs its own ADAPA. So, each instance has its own ADAPA Console where you will be able to manage models as well as data files.
