The Significance of JavaScript

If we failed to mention the significance of JavaScript (JS) in the evolution of the user-interactive experience, we would be remiss. Javascript may not be the most widely used big data language, but it has some very useful features.

Less than a decade ago, Flash ruled the web development space. If there were multimedia elements on a webpage, then it was powered by Flash. JS was developed as a language by the team at Netscape used to work in conjunction with HTML and CSS to provide the interactive that is enjoyed by users daily.

HTML coding is used to create the page content, images, and link data. The CSS coding is used to develop the style, fonts, coloring, and content positioning. JavaScript was developed as a language to create software that is administered to the browser by piggybacking on the HTML file. This singular development is responsible for the live and interactive nature of the most popular websites today. All of the tools on our list are written using JavaScript. Let’s take a closer look.

1. React

React is a library that uses preset components to simplify the process of developing interactive user interfaces. It would not have been possible without massive advances in big data and analytics technology. The library was developed by the team at Facebook. Its meteoric rise has led React to the top of the heap. A predominant number of companies now use React JS for user interface development. It’s lightweight and simplistic functionality make it an appealing option.

Advantages:

  • Simplistic
  • Creates dynamic web applications with relative ease
  • Reusable components

Disadvantages:

  • JSX language requirements create a barrier to use
  • High rate of technological turnover
  • Documentation for newer features is scarce

Companies that Use React

  • Airbnb
  • Facebook
  • Netflix
  • Shopify
  • Robinhood

2. Angular

Angular is a big data framework designed to develop web applications. The all-inclusive platform offers robust solutions for application and UI development. Until recently, Angular was the most used UI development tool. Angular offers the full gambit of application development features using a total package approach.

Advantages:

  • Uses modules
  • Model-view-controller (MVC) architecture
  • Enhanced design architecture

Disadvantages:

  • Complex
  • Limited SEO options
  • Steep learning curve

Companies that Use Angular

  • Google
  • Snapchat
  • Amazon
  • Lyft
  • Delivery Hero

3. Vue

Vue is a library for developing interactive web interfaces. Vue is a distant third behind React and Angular as the most popular big data-driven UI tool today. It is also the new kid on the block. It has a growing community of dedicated users and is building its library of big data and analytics tools by the day. Vue is best known for its user-friendly operation.

Advantages:

  • Compact
  • Simplistic and intuitive
  • Flexible

Disadvantages:

Disadvantages:

  • Coupled too closely to jQuery
  • Limited customization
  • Steep learning curve

Companies that Use Ember

  • LinkedIn
  • Twitch
  • Square
  • Groupon
  • Thoughtbot

5. Svelte

Svelte is a big data framework that is used to develop interactive user interfaces. Instead of waiting until runtime to interpret your application code, the ideal JavaScript is developed at build time. Svelte is also an excellent solution for building reactive components.

Advantages:

  • Compact
  • Simplistic
  • Reactive/intuitive

Disadvantages:

  • Lacks sufficient third-party module use
  • Small community
  • Testability

Companies that Use Svelte

  • Prober

Advantages:

  • Secure

7. JQuery

JQuery is a JS library intended to simplify HTML and CSS scripting. JQuery works across platforms. This open-source solution is a lightweight and popular among designers. Clearly, one of the most impressive aspects of jQuery is the fact that Flash-like animations can be created that work on all platforms, including iOS, unlike Flash.

Advantages:

  • Simplistic

  • Twitter
  • Slack
  • Fiverr
  • Reddit
