Interesting findings from a survey by data processing software vendor Syncsort on 300 attendees of two Big Data conferences in Europe: the survey revealed that Cloudera is in the lead within Europe, while surprisingly pure Apache code comes in second. Although Europe is generally speaking about 6-12 months behind the States, it seems that more and more early adopters are moving towards Big Data and that the chasm is becoming smaller before the early majority will make the move.

Although Europe is generally speaking about 6-12 months behind the States, it seems that more and more early adopters are moving towards Big Data and that the chasm is becoming smaller before the early majority will make the move. Another interesting result from the survey was that about 25% of the participants of the Hadoop conferences said that they were not interested in using Hadoop.
