CRAN R 2.9.0 now available

R version 2.9.0 was released to the central CRAN mirror on Friday, and source and binary distributions are now available at most mirrors worldwide. You can see a complete list of new features on CRAN. The biggest change is that the Matrix package is now part of the official R distribution, greatly enhancing R’s capability for efficiently processing sparse and dense 2-dimensional numerical matrices.
