Berkeley Lab operates the fastest science network in the world, connecting all science labs in the United States. In March 2013, the Energy Sciences Network transferred a staggering 15.5 Petabytes across the network. With scientific research producing massive amounts of data sets, this will only extrapolate in the coming years.
