The recent revelations about the NSA’s secret program makes people aware of the world of big data and the thin line between the benefits and privacy concerns related to big data. The challenge is to get all the great benefits from big data, such as better medical healthcare or fewer casualties in traffic, while finding a balance with the loss in privacy. Trust and transparency is extremely important here and companies will have to be transparent towards their customers or the customers will simple move to the competition.
