Szilard Pafka and Jan de Leeuw have formed a new local R User Group for the Los Angeles area. Says Szilard: Our aim is to bring together practitioners (from industry and academia alike) in order to facilitate a free and open exchange of knowledge and experience in solving data analysis, statistical modeling, data mining, visualization, statistical computing etc. problems by using R. The group has only just formed, and plans its first meeting in May (at UCLA). There are almost 40 members already so I’m sure it will be very active. You can sign up to be notified for future…
