It was announced today that the next update to R, version 2.9.0, is scheduled for release on April 17, 2009. According to the updates on the R development RSS feed, planned improvements include: enhancements several graphics functions, including bxp, barplot, plot.ts and legend improved accuracy for some functions, including cumsum and cumprod improvements to package installation on many platforms many improvements to handling of Rd documentation files a new, efficient function grepl works like grep but returns a logical vector simulate now provides for simulation of generalized linear models and weighted fits a new function poisson.test for exact tests of…
