The Next Industry Headlines

I was recently honored to be asked to serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of Pharmaceutical Executive magazine. A few weeks ago we had a meeting NYC to discuss the state of the industry, so I thought I would share with you some impressions I took away from the meeting, and how they might relate to the broader industry ecosystem.

When I go to industry group meetings, I’ve become accustomed to hearing the same issues over and over again: in the case of pharmaceuticals, failing pipelines, declines in sales force productivity, expanding partnerships, and outsourcing are perennial favorites.  This board meeting was considerably livelier, though, much to my enjoyment.  I suspect the editors now have a considerable list of interesting things to write about this year, and I look forward to reading about them.
