This is a list of new or updated packages that were released for R in September, as announced on the r-packages mailing list. To include other updates on this list, please email community@revolution-computing.com. For a complete list of all updates on CRAN, see the CRANberries archive for September 2009. Follow package name links for ratings and other information on crantastic.org.

  • amer, a package adding the capability to fit generalized additive mixed models to lme4, was released.
  • ant, a package enabling ant to run R-based tasks, was released.
  • MICE, a package for imputing incomplete multivariate data, was updated to version 2.0.
  • MLCM, a new package providing functions for estimating perceptual scales by maximum likelihood from data collected in a conjoint measurement experiment, was released.
  • QCA, a package for Qualitative Comparative Analysis, has been updated to extend support from binary to multi-valued data.
  • rms replaces the Design package, and provides a variety of regression tools to accompany the book Regression Modeling Strategies. 
  • sos replaces the RSiteSearch package and makes it easy to …
