Make Sure Your Google My Business Listing is up to Date and Complete

Therefore, you should make sure that your GMB information is complete. If you have not fully completed this information or have not added any information at all oh, it makes it very difficult for the search engine to rank you locally. Google’s search engine wants to align those searching with the closest businesses to them first. So, they will have a bias towards those businesses that have filled in all of the relevant information on GMB.

So, take the time and make your profile complete. Put in a full description of your business including your company name, your website, business description, category of your business oh, and attributes. You should also put the date when you opened for business, and make sure to put photos of your business. All of these will help with local search.

The next step is to make sure that your location information is placed in GMB.  This information should include your full address and the areas that your business services. And it is very important that you do not use any abbreviations on any part of your company’s address. Spell out the words street, lane, and do not use any other abbreviations.

Further, you should add your business hours for every day of the week, and if you have different hours on weekends, you should write this in as well. And don’t forget to include which holidays are closed and which ones are open. Also, if you have different hours during these holidays, include this information as well.

Make Sure There is No Conflicting Information Anywhere on the Web

Google uses complex data mining tools to find information as part of its ranking strategy. You need to use it accordingly.

An important note is to make sure that the information you have entered is the same information about your business that appears anywhere on the web. making sure that your information is consistent will eliminate any confusion about details of your business. If there are two businesses with the same name but different addresses, this will confuse the search engine and cause you to lose potential customers. Verify Your Locations

You must verify your business before Google will place your listing on Maps and Search. To set this up go to https://www.google.com/business and fill in the information needed for verification.

Respond to Online Reviews
