If you are a long-time WebFOCUS developer of business intelligence applications, you probably have a copy of the “Keysheet” in your library. This quick reference guide provides the detail syntax of all of the WebFOCUS features, whether it be for reports, graphs, updating databases, procedural scripting, or subroutines.

Information Builders just released a new Keysheet for WebFOCUS 7.7, the fifth edition of the book.

For an idea of the details between the covers, I scanned a page for your review. This particular page came from the chapter on using WebFOCUS to produce reports. It documents the options that can be specified on the “ON TABLE” phrase.

For example, you use that WebFOCUS phrase to export the report to a data format. The Keysheet goes on to explain the various “HOLD” format options available to you.

This Keysheet is only available as a hard-copy book; sorry if you wanted an HTML, PDF, or Kindle version. This is also not part of your standard “free” documentation that comes with the product.

Written by John W. Price, the book is available only through Information Builders’s Technical Documentation Library. IBI prints a new version with up-to-date documentation when the WebFOCUS enterprise BI product has had a major release change.

IBI charges a twenty-five U.S. dollar fee but with its volume of WebFOCUS reference and high work quality, this book is a bargain. You can order your own copy here.
