J. Kevin Byrne

J. Kevin Byrne earned a bachelor's degree in art and graduate degrees each in design planning, geography, and GIS (geovisualization). For 35 years he taught user-centered design and science-baccalaureate courses at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) as Full Professor (now Emeritus). He has published and continues to do so, his current interest is geospatial analysis of urban crime and excessive use of force by police. Byrne's life goal is to understand how best to reinvigorate civil rights, heal abused communities, and end racism.
